Our concept

The concept of the restaurant is based on the quality and freshness of the seasonal products, combined with the creativity from the Head Chef. A selective Wine list, a friendly and competent service are amending our philosophy.

In one of the most charming and historical restaurants (since 1881 with original wood floor) in Basel with a unique ambience, you can enjoy the symbiosis between tradition with typical local specialties’, combined with the creativity of the Chef de Cuisine with daily fresh proposals (have a look into the gallery). You will obviously find on the menu some classics from the Swiss gastronomy such as "Sliced veal liver with rösti" or the "Rebe" Sausages combined with elaborated dishes according to the season. The wine list won't let you any open wishes! And everything to an affordable and fair price.
